If you are concerned about how to discuss death with children or youth, you’re not alone. Books provide a way to begin these conversations. The Palliative Care Institute, the Western Library and the Whatcom County Library system have collaborated to share information about great books the open the opportunity to talk with children and youth about death and loss.

Thom Barthelmess, Youth Services Librarian – Whatcom County Library; Sylvia Tag, Instructional Services Librarian, Western Washington University; and Marie Eaton, Director, Palliative Care Institute, Western Washington University have made multiple presentations in Whatcom County and they are willing to come to your agency or organization to speak.
